“Muletown in the Round” session with host Wynn Varble and songwriter guests Jay Knowles and QUEEVA
It’s time for another round of singer-songwriters at Marcy Jo’s Muletown in Columbia, TN.
Jay Knowles was born in Texas, raised in Tennessee, and educated in Connecticut. Over the last 20 years, his songs have been recorded by classic singers like George Strait, Alan Jackson, and Harry Connick, Jr. as well as artists such as Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, and David Nail, and Raffi. Jay’s professional honors include several country hits including “Self-Made Man” recorded by Montgomery Gentry and “So You Don’t Have To Love Me Anymore” from Alan Jackson. Knowles’ song “She’ll Leave You With A Smile” was George Strait’s 50th #1 single and received the Million-Air Award from BMI. Learn more at thejayknowles.com.
Chicago-born 18-year-old rising star, QUEEVA possesses drive, vision and dedication to her craft that far exceeds her years. She released her debut single, “Who You Really Are,” at just 14 years old. Blessed with an evocative voice and a gift for penning insightful, heartfelt lyrics, QUEEVA’s distinctive gifts shine on her debut set. Raised in a creative Irish clan with six children, QUEEVA was born in the United States, but her parents hail from Ireland. The young artist divides her time between the two countries, giving her a broader worldview than many her age. She has a deep love of both cultures and an appreciation for the language and the music.
