Bethany Trainor at Bad Idea Brewing

May 23 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Bethany’s career in music has been multi-faceted. She is a board-certified music therapist, music instructor, composer/songwriter, and has served as a soloist for various events, including singing the National Anthem in 2012 for the Iroquois Steeplechase. She has toured with the Vanderbilt Community Chorus and maintains a studio of private voice, piano, and guitar students throughout Nashville, Franklin and Columbia. She loves discovering new music, supporting fellow artists, playing at coffee shops, restaurants, and local venues. She tends to gravitate towards acoustic/indie/folk singer-songwriter influences, and enjoys performing pop, rock, country, Americana and other genres.

Bethany began writing music at the age of ten, and studied piano, voice, guitar, composition and songwriting throughout her education. She grew up in Parkland, Florida, but has called Nashville home since 2010. She has written music for film, radio, television, and concert settings. She has taught voice, piano and guitar lessons since 2005 and has provided individual and group music therapy sessions since 2013 in a variety of healthcare and educational settings. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Theory/Composition from Westminster Choir College of Rider University (2007), a Master of Music in Music Composition with an emphasis in Film Scoring from New York University (2009), and a Master of Music in Music Therapy from The Florida State University (2015).
